Both sets of fans at New Lodge held a seventh-minute applause for Alex Fletcher in Bath City’s return to action since the midfielder suffered a horrific pitchside injury.

Elliot Frear put the Romans in front on 16 minutes when he struck the ball beyond Harry Seaden.
The Blues grew into the game but it was the visitors who scored a second courtesy of Dan Hayfield on 48 minutes mark with a deflected shot. The Blues halved the deficit as John Ufuah’s shot flew past Ryan Clarke.
Bath secured their victory with just over ten minutes remaining as Luke Spokes’ shot went in off the bar to book the Romans place in the next round.
